“I think it’s important because, for me, I love being in the sea. There’s not much worse than when you’re in the sea, you’re seeing bits floating about. A lot of people don’t like seagulls, but they’re here, and you see them picking up bits from the beach. But even when you take your children to the beach, you’ve got bits in the sand, and I think, if you’ve got young children as well, they’re picking it up, maybe eating it.

“In Cornwall especially, we’re blessed with our coastline and if we can keep it as clean as possible, it’s going to be better for everyone – locals, holiday makers, animals. Everyone enjoys the beach.”
